This full-length original play is the outcome of the Teacher Action Group’s year-long project to explore and embody educators’ and students’ frustration, rage and trauma with schooling, as well as their visions for educational transformation.

Co-created from convening over 150 educators and students in Story Circles and Theater Devising workshops, Philadelphia Education Stories serves as a stepping stone on the path toward larger transformation.

More than just a play, it is a cultural organizing project, in which we used the theater-making process as a strategy to cultivate intergenerational solidarity, practice taking accountability for committing harm, and amplify participants’ calls for systemic change.
